Community & Social Impact

Edmonds Marshall McMahon joins forces with DIVERT.

Edmonds Marshall McMahon is pleased to announce we will be working together with DIVERT, a community & social impact intervention programme, aimed at reducing reoffending, operated by the Metropolitan Police Service.

DIVERT is delivered in police custody suites by football coaches from Community Club Organisations through the New Era Foundation and aims to DIVERT young adults aged between 18-25 away from crime and into education, training and employment.

DIVERT is currently in operation in six London custody suites and is now being expanded to other parts of the country, with 20 new Custody Intervention Coaches currently receiving training. It is an intelligent approach to reduce reoffending using proven desistance factors to prevent further criminal behaviour. EMM looks forward to providing support and mentoring to the DIVERT programme currently operating in Thames Valley and London and commencing shortly in Lancashire.
