We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our growing law firm. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal or professional services who thrives in a regulated environment and can balance operational oversight with compliance and people management.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & experience

  • Experience as a Practice Manager, Office Manager or similar within a legal or regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of SRA compliance frameworks
  • Confident using legal case management systems and Microsoft 365
  • Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused

Operational management

  • Lead daily firm operations, ensuring efficient systems, policies and procedures
  • Manage administrative staff – recruitment, training, rotas and performance reviews
  • Oversee facilities, IT systems, cybersecurity, supplier contracts and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, health & safety and SRA standards
  • Attend partner meetings and record minutes and actions

Compliance & risk

  • Maintain policies aligned with SRA, BSB and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee file audits, risk assessments and the complaints register
  • Support COLP/COFA with SRA compliance and AML obligations
  • Ensure robust data protection and retention processes

HR & people management

  • Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management
  • Maintain training and professional development plans
  • Manage HR queries, employee relations and absence processes

Personal qualities

2-3 PQE lawyer within commercial litigation – with a desire to work on professional negligence claims.

You should be technically excellent with the ability to deliver advice in a pragmatic and commercial manner and must have practical experience of working independently as well as being part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial disputes, ‘fraud’ claims and a desire to work on professional negligence claims.
  • Conducting legal research and providing clear, strategic advice to clients.
  • Legal drafting of inter-partes correspondence, evidence, and applications.
  • Liaising with counsel, experts, and other stakeholders throughout proceedings.
  • Supporting senior team members and assisting the partner to ensure the smooth running and the flow of cases.
  • Attending client meetings and court hearings, where appropriate.
  • Take an active role and interest in marketing and business development within the firm and across all the firm’s industries.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous commercial litigation experience and professional negligence experience would be advantageous, but not necessary.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and excellent organisational skills.
  • Commercial mindset with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • IT literate.

The ideal candidate should be capable of taking responsibility for tasks when appropriate while also following direction competently and efficiently. They must demonstrate the ability to think and act independently and pro-actively when required. Adaptability is key, as they will need to handle a wide variety of tasks depending on the nature of the matter or the size of the team, and they should be willing to engage with all aspects of a matter.

Additionally, confidence and sociability are essential when dealing directly with clients, as is the ability to deliver a high level of client service tailored to each client’s specific priorities.


Insolvency Lawyer (3 – 8 PQE)

We’re building an exciting new chapter in our civil department and are looking to hire an ambitious and technically skilled insolvency lawyer (3–8 PQE) to help drive this growth.

About the Role
You’ll join a dynamic and supportive team where you’ll have the autonomy to manage client cases under partner supervision, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the continued development of our insolvency practice. Key Skills & Experience

Paralegal – experience required

An experienced paralegal is required for the commercial team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, a proactive attitude along with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks are key.

– Onboarding arrangements for client and preparing engagement letters along with a confidence liaising with clients.
– Managing due diligence processes.
– Assisting with legal current awareness.
– Checking and proof-reading documents.
– Supporting the wider team to ensure outstanding service to clients.
– Assisting with witness proofing exercises and preparation of witness statements and exhibits.
– Generally assisting the partner to ensure the smooth running and the flow of cases.

Skills & Requirements:
– Previous paralegal experience working within a commercial team or similar.
– Prior experience of Civil Procedure Rules, e-filing and E-disclosure platforms.
– Ability to manage a busy workload and excellent organisational skills.
– IT literate, confident user of MS Office.


Associate – with Crypto experience

We’re looking for an Associate with at least 4– 6+ PQE.  Salary depending on experience and PQE

  • At least 4 years experience in Crypto
  • Handling client cases and case tasks under partner supervision.
  • Commissioning and understanding crypto tracing reports
  • Experience in urgent High Court relief applications
  • Supervising and providing instructions to paralegals
  • Providing written and verbal advice(s) to clients under partner supervision.
  • Preparing case correspondence.
  • Attending conferences with clients, counsel and third parties.
  • Undertaking legal research.
  • Attending court and other case-related venues.
  • Working closely with the partners and attending meetings where necessary.
  • Writing articles.

We are looking to continue our growth by building a new exciting chapter in the civil department by hiring an ambitious and technical 4-8 PQE lawyer who has commercial litigation, fraud and arbitration experience.

Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience. You should be highly organised with excellent communication skills as part of a supportive and friendly team. The role is hybrid with 3 core days in the office and 2 WFH days. You must have strong academic results.
