Lauren Priest – Associate

Lauren was admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister of the High Court of New Zealand in 2011 after having graduated from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Lauren began her career as a civil litigator, often making appearances in the High Court on insolvency matters and the like. She made the transition to the field of criminal law and now provides legal services on both civil and criminal matters.

Lauren joined Edmonds Marshall McMahon in February 2015 as a junior associate. Prior to this, Lauren was an anti money laundering and counter terrorism financing analyst at a UK Silver Circle law firm.

Lauren is hard working with great attention to detail. She is fully attuned to the needs of her clients in regards to whom her dedication is unwavering.

Examples of Lauren’s work over recent years include:

R v Pradhan (2015) – Southwark Crown Court – Assisted in the successful prosecution of an individual on charges of perverting the court of justice and fraud.

Hanover Group NZ – Assistance in the defence of civil proceedings laid by the Financial Markets Authority in New Zealand.

Acting counsel in various High Court matters on the instruction of top tier firms in New Zealand.
