Michaelina joined Edmonds Marshall McMahon in October 2019 after spending a year at the Serious Fraud Office as an Executive Officer Document Reviewer working on a bribery and corruption investigation. Michaelina possesses good investigative and document review skills as well as a thorough understanding of the disclosure obligations under the Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act 1996. Coming from a “Roskill-model” based organisation, she provides support to Senior Associates, Associates and Investigators at EMM.
Prior to joining the SFO Michaelina completed the LPC at BPP Law School and further enhanced her studies with the combined LLM-Legal Practise Course (thesis on “Privilege in Internal Investigations“ and the developments in the law following the Court of Appeal deliberations in the ENRC case). Whilst at the University of Brighton where she completed her LLB, Michaelina was part of the Innocence Project (Miscarriages of Justice UK) volunteering to find grounds of Appeal for the Criminal Cases Review Commission to overturn or quash wrongful convictions. She was also an active member of the Mooting society and participated in the First round of Essex Court competition against UCL.
Michaelina is Greek/Cypriot and a fitness enthusiast. Outside work she loves training at the gym and spending time with her close friends.
