Georgina joined Edmonds Marshall McMahon in April 2022 having previously spent six years working as an Investigative Lawyer at Serious Fraud Office (SFO). Georgina has extensive experience working on major international economic crime cases, most notably the investigations into Rolls Royce PLC and Airbus SE. Georgina was a member of the case team that won the Bar Council’s 2020 Legal Team of the Year Award for the Airbus SE Deferred Prosecution Agreement, part of the largest global resolution for bribery to date.
Georgina’s experience includes:
- Conducting evidential gap analyses of large volumes of complex data and advising on investigative strategy;
- Advising on the adequacy of corporate internal investigations;
- Working closely with overseas governments and law enforcement agencies.
Prior to joining the SFO, Georgina was a Junior Barrister for Judith Ablett-Kerr KC ONZM, one of New Zealand’s most prominent criminal barristers, assisting on a wide range of complex criminal matters.
Georgina was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in New Zealand in 2012, having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury and Bachelor of Arts (Classical Studies) from the University of Otago. Georgina was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in 2018.
