Liina is a Senior Associate in our Civil Team, specialising in civil fraud and complex commercial disputes. With over 11 years’ experience, she brings significant expertise in high-stakes litigation involving banking, finance, fraud, and professional negligence matters.
Her practice focuses on representing high-net-worth individuals, SMEs, private and public companies, established investors, and professional service firms in complex, often multi-jurisdictional disputes. She has extensive experience going up against major US, Magic Circle, and City firms.
Prior to joining Edmonds Marshall McMahon in January 2025, Liina was at Pogust Goodhead, an international law firm specialising in large-scale group actions. She previously spent several years at DS Law (formerly DaySparkes) working alongside John Day, and before that was at Wallace LLP in Mayfair. Liina began her career at leading Scottish firm MBM Commercial LLP, where she trained and qualified in 2013, later also qualifying in England and Wales in 2017.

Recent Experience Includes:
- Mariana Dam disaster – representing over 1,400 business claimants in one of the largest group actions in the UK against the Anglo-Australian mining company BHP arising out of the worst environmental disaster in Brazil’s history following the collapse of the Mariana tailings dam in 2015.
- HBOS Reading fraud – representing multiple victims of the infamous HBOS Reading/Quayside Corporate Services scandal in multimillion pound damages claims arising out of a major fraud that was perpetrated by Lynden Scourfield and others on numerous SMEs that had been transferred to the impaired assets division of HBOS.
- Acting for high-net-worth individuals and businesses in professional negligence claims against their former accountants, financial advisers and solicitors.
