Lydia Wilson - Associate

Lydia is an Associate in the Criminal Team at Edmonds Marshall McMahon. She is a 2018 New Zealand–qualified lawyer and holds an LLM (Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh.

Lydia began her career at Russell McVeagh in Auckland, where she worked in the litigation department before joining Meredith Connell as a prosecutor. During her time as a Crown Prosecutor, she conducted a wide range of criminal proceedings, gaining extensive courtroom and trial experience.

After completing her postgraduate studies in 2023, Lydia joined PCB Byrne in London, where she practised as a civil litigator, advising on complex commercial disputes and high-value litigation.

Her academic work includes a publication in the Journal of Civil Law and Practice entitled “Celebrity and personal correspondence in the United Kingdom High Court: HRH The Duchess of Sussex v Associated Newspapers Ltd (2021)”.

Lydia assists in a broad range of criminal cases, supporting private prosecutions and complex financial crime investigations.
